Sarah Umlauf assumed the role of Executive Director of the Saint Louis Art Fair in 2019, with expertise in art history, strong relationships with area businesses and city government, and years of experience as a Saint Louis Art Fair volunteer.
Sarah came to the organization from the City of Clayton, where she served as Museum and Community Outreach Specialist for 11 years. In this position, she acted as administrator for the Clayton Century Foundation (CCF), a private fundraising vehicle that works in partnership with the City. She worked with businesses and managed donor appreciation events. She also managed the day-to-day operations of the Historic Hanley House Museum, including identifying and applying for grants, and sustaining donor relationships. Sarah completed her undergraduate degree at Washington University and received an M.A. in Art History and Museum Studies from The George Washington University. For the past 20 years, she has served as a docent/volunteer educator for the St. Louis Art Museum. Sarah maintains an active presence amongst her event professional peers through jurying, coordinating emerging artist programs, and serving on the International Festival and Events Association Foundation Board of Directors. Sarah is thrilled to lead this valued St. Louis organization, presenter of one of the top art fairs in the country.
