Sarah Umlauf assumed the role of Executive Director of the Saint Louis Art Fair in 2019, with expertise in art history, strong relationships with area businesses and city government, and years of experience as a Saint Louis Art Fair volunteer.

Sarah came to the organization from the City of Clayton, where she served as Museum and Community Outreach Specialist for 11 years. In this position, she acted as administrator for the Clayton Century Foundation (CCF), a private fundraising vehicle that works in partnership with the City. She worked with businesses and managed donor appreciation events. She also managed the day-to-day operations of the Historic Hanley House Museum, including identifying and applying for grants, and sustaining donor relationships.

Sarah completed her undergraduate degree at Washington University and received an M.A. in Art History and Museum Studies from The George Washington University. For the past 20 years, she has served as a docent/volunteer educator for the St. Louis Art Museum.

Sarah maintains an active presence amongst her event professional peers through jurying, coordinating emerging artist programs, and serving on the International Festival and Events Association Foundation Board of Directors.

Sarah is thrilled to lead this valued St. Louis organization, presenter of one of the top art fairs in the country.

Megan Zaranek is the Associate Director of the Saint Louis Art Fair. Megan is exceptionally qualified to manage the operations of an art festival with 10+ years of experience in the industry.

Megan is a seasoned professional with a passion for the art festival industry. Originally from West Palm Beach, Florida, Megan's journey into the world of events began at Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, where she earned her degree in Resort and Hospitality Management with a concentration in Event Management.

Megan's career in the art festival industry was launched at ArtFest Fort Myers, where her love of outdoor festivals ignited. Megan's outstanding performance led to her promotion to Production Manager in which she assumed responsibility for the overall coordination and execution of the art festival's operations. After three successful years as Production Manager, Megan reached another milestone in her career by stepping into the role of Associate Director.

Having attended the 2023 Saint Louis Art Fair, Megan gained firsthand experience of the event and its unique atmosphere. This exposure deepened her appreciation for the Saint Louis Art Fair and solidified her interest in joining the organization as Associate Director. Megan is eager to contribute her extensive knowledge and talents to elevate the Saint Louis Art Fair even further.

Beyond her professional achievements, Megan is excited about immersing herself in the rich culture of St. Louis. She recognizes the significance of the Saint Louis Art Fair within our community and is enthusiastic about being an integral part of an event that holds such far-reaching importance for the region.
