Ridley Pearson and Jody Feldman- 2009 Big Read Festival featured authors read from Young Adult Books
Over the past twenty-five years, Ridley Pearson, a New York Times bestselling novelist, has crafted nearly thirty novels. With ten million copies of his work in print, he has earned a reputation for writing fiction that grips the imagination. His crime novels emphasize dazzling investigative detail, and, all too often, imitate life. His previous novels have helped solve two real-life homicides, helped settle an environmental lawsuit, and regularly tackle subjects that eerily become national news after he writes about them.
Ridley is also the author of a half dozen novels for younger readers including the award-winning series Peter and the Starcatchers, co-written with humor writer, Dave Barry; the Kingdom Keepers; and Steel Trapp.
Jody Feldman grew up in St. Louis, the daughter of an artist, but with little artistic ability of her own. So she's especially excited to find herself at the St. Louis Art Fair in a capacity other than interested shopper. Jody holds a Journalism degree from the University of Missouri which has led her to write a television special, speeches, two Night Before Christmas stocking stuffer books, CitySmart Guidebook: St. Louis (Avalon Travel Publishing, 2000), all means of advertising, and now - more fulfilling than that giant fortune cookie message she was assigned to create - The Gollywhopper Games (HarperCollins/Greenwillow, 2008), her first children's novel. You can reach her at jody@jodyfeldman.com.
