Abstract Giants- An 8 piece live organic hip hop/funk band

The Abstract Giants take such a different approach to hip-hop, including a five-piece band (including turntables and electric violin) plus three MCs. Plugging out an increasingly eclectic take on the genre, these Chicago natives blend a dozen music forms into the traditionally beats-and-drums music, flexing above-average rhyming skills over the top.

Pat Liston- An acoustic collision of impassioned songwriting and stimulating music...with a voice that is sultry, stirring, and souldful all at once.

Pat Liston has been inspired to write, sing and play music for decades. He has played along side such great musicians as: Greg Allman, Ringo Starr, Lynyrd Skynrd,  Marshal Tucker, Bob Seger, Alice Cooper and coutless others. Pat has an ability to express his thoughts, emotions, and desires in a way that most do not possess, and then put it to music.

Modern American Dance Company (MADCO)- Chimera pushes enertainment to the limit with this incredible journey into one of the most mysterious places in human existenc..dreams

MADCO (Modern American Dance Company) is the Professional Dance Company in Residence at the prestigious Blanche M. Touhill Performing Arts Center on the campus of University of Missouri St. Louis. The company reaches over 25,000 people annually with its concert season at the Touhill, community outreach and education programs including "Books in Motion," a multi-disciplinary program that uses the arts to promote literacy.

Songs of Africa- A high-energy vocal and dance group which recreates musical scenes from traditional African life.

African Musical Arts, Inc. presents the Songs of Africa Ensemble, a local multi-cultural ensemble of African music that performs music from the new choral collection, Songs of Africa, published by Oxford University Press.

Funky Butt Brass Band- A toe-tapping, rump-shaking mix of traditional jazz, slinky funk, and authentic New Orleans-style "second line" brass band.

The Funky Butt Brass Band was formed in 2008 by six musicians who respect and revere the New Orleans brass band tradition. Made up of members of Gumbohead, The Feed, Musica Slesa, Bob Kuban's Everyday People and other St. Louis musical groups, the FBBB brings traditional New Orleans brass tunes and gives them a funky new flavor, in the style of the Dirty Dozen or Rebirth Brass Band.

The Sheldon Jazz Quintet Led by guitarist Rick Haydon, The Sheldon Jazz Quintet features St. Louis all-stars performing straight-ahead jazz and swinging jazz standards.  Haydon has performed with jazz masters including Bucky Pizzarelli, John Pizzarelli and Pat Martino, and teaches in the jazz studies department at Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville.  He will be joined by acclaimed vocalist Mardra Thomas, and a rhythm section including pianist Reggie Thomas, drummer Miles Vandiver, and bassist Zeb Briskovich. Monika Herzig Trio- Presents a blend of jazz originals and sophisticated arrangements of standards and popular songs.

In 1987, the pedagogical institute in Weingarten, Germany awarded a scholarship for a one-year exchange program at the University of Alabama to one of their students, jazz pianist Monika Herzig. Together with her partner and guitarist Peter Kienle, she arrived in the States on a one-way ticket, with one suitcase of belongings and one guitar in August 1988. The current repertoire of the Monika Herzig Acoustic Project includes originals and arrangements of standard repertoire, such as Carole King’s “You’ve Got a Friend” and Kern/ Hammerstein’s “The Song Is You”.

Dawn Weber- Electro Funk Assembly featuring a high-energy blend of jazz, latin, and funk groove

World class trumpet player. Prolific songwriter. Stylish vocalist. A mesmerizing, high-energy stage presence. Add it up and it can only describe one person – Dawn Weber. The St. Louis-based artist has a background that includes extensive training in both classical trumpet and flugelhorn. But Dawn’s talent and personality really shine in other styles of her music – ranging from jazz, rock, R&B swing and salsa to hip-hop, electronic and funk styles.
