Jurying Instructions

The panel of five jurors and the executive director of Cultural Festivals are responsible for making the final determination of artists that will participate in the show, including an alternate list.  Jurors are encouraged to participate in an open and interactive dialogue with one another throughout the process and to recognize that while consensus is often reached quickly among panel members, a process of compromise inevitably takes place to reach the final selection.

The first day of the jury process or Round 1, is open to the public to view.  This provides artists (both those that applied or are considering applying in the future) an opportunity to see their images projected, have a better understanding of our jury process and get a sense of the competition.

Before we start round one, the jurors view all applicants in all medias to get an overview of the applicant pool.
